I'm Singing in the Rain....

I may be the only person in Houston who was giddy about our crazy thunderstorm today. Why? Because my lovely friends at däv rainboots and accessories sent me some goodies to prepare me for just such weather!

Their White Peacock Compact Umbrella could be the cutest bumbershoot of all time...

And then we have the Black Rain Flat which has a plethora of possibilies for wear. Here are just a a few I've found: 1. Slipping them on to give outdoor plants a quick drink 2. Perfect for keeping your tootsies dry in a puddle filled parking lot 3. Wading into wet grass with your finicky pups who refuse to get their own feet wet.

I would like to ditch work, and go visit baby Baylor. This morning I read on the Houston Zoo's blog that he has recently discovered the fun of a big red 100 lb ball - a favorite toy of many a baby elephant calf. I can't wait to meet him! Houston fashion shows may come and go, but this particular gem, you do not want to miss! Sunday the 27th of June, 2010 TikiGlam will be having their third annual ‘Summer Show’at the ever-so-posh Hotel Derek .

The TikiGlam summer fashion show will reveal the creative design vision of Houston fashion designer Kuteka Hill. CEO and designer of TikiGlam, Kuteka has been designing fashion forward frocks for 5 years. During that time she has been featured around the world, be it on ‘America’s Next Top Model’ or in a variety of publications; yet she still finds time to keep it local with her involvement at charity events and shows in and around H-town. Her dramatic designs are ultra high fashion couture, youthful, and adventurous.

So what is a "TikiGlam Girl?" According to Kuteka, she is happy, fun, spunky, full of life and a lover of fashion. Ooh pick me, pick me!!

Admission for the fashion show include: VIP Fabulous $45, VIP Glamorous $40 and Regular $35. Tickets at the door will be increased by $5 for all admission levels.
