Other than its undeniable girly happiness, the "Ballerina Clutch" was created specifically to benefit the Houston Ballet. It's time to start prepping for the 2nd Annual BRAtober, which means dazzling the world with your artistic brassiere expertise!

For those of you new to this bedazzling bosom concept, here is some info:

What is BRA ART?

Getting creative for cancer prevention. Decorate a bra (a new bra) in any color, size and way you want. Pick a theme, make it fun, make it statement-worthy. Make it yours.

Who says skivvies can't cure cancer? Or at least help?

All proceeds from BRA ART go to Bright Pink, a national nonprofit organization that provides education and support for young women who are at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer.

You can do your creative crafting on your own, or form a team of folks from work, your book club, your sorority alumni chapter. The BRA ART competition is open to individuals, groups, organizations - no limit to how many people who can be involved in creating a bra!

But I don't live in Houston!?!?

Not a H-town resident? Don't fret! Anyone from anywhere (read: you) can enter. They'll let you know where you can ship your entry, and they'll take tons of photos for you at the event.

Another A+ for Vera

I swear Vera Wang can do no wrong. Chelsea made a timeless choice in her strapless ivory gown, with a swirling skirt of laser cut, raw edged silk tulle. It's difficult to see in the photos, but the bodice is diagonally draped which is oh so slimming (not that she needs to be slimmed:-). If Vera Wang isn't in the budget of you brides out there, I found this great link to Chelsea's dress for less.

I just recently discovered a little clothing line, whose back story is as adorable as every one of their tiny stitched and ruffled garments. Muddy Feet Boutique is a completely hand made line of clothing constructed by Jessica Sherrill. Jessica is a graduate of Parsons The New School of Design, who has interned at multiple successful companies including a very high-end children’s wear company.

Jessica started Muddy Feet while pursuing her undergraduate degree with aspirations of law school. She realized she loved creating clothes for friends much more than arguing law cases (who wouldn't?), so she decided to get to work! So where does the name come from? She decided to test her clothes among strangers, and headed to a popular music festival in Tennessee. On her way there, rain dumped from the sky turning every inch of sturdy earth to muddy mush. Instead of turning around, she decided to trudge through the ubiquitous matter, carrying her dresses on a tree branch so the campers could see them. She shielded her dresses from the flying splatter as best she could, but her feet enjoyed no refuge. Every last one of her dresses sold that day, and Muddy Feet Boutique was born.
