Furry Friday Feature: Augustus

It's Furry Friday once again! A HWC tradition that we hope will help get some of our homeless Houston furry babies placed in homes. Every week we will feature somebody new that would love to be part of your family. This week meet Augustus!

Here is some info from Augie's Foster parents:

It was love at first sight upon seeing Augustus’ innocent boyish eyes. He has a youthful energy and prances eagerly into the room. Augie’s top priority is simply to please. He loves to go for his daily walks and then settle down for some lap time with soothing belly rubs in exchange for a galore of nuzzles and kisses.

Augie wants to fit in with the pack, and our two DRoH adopted doxies accepted him from the start. He is curious, watches our every move and willingly follows us and his foster siblings from room to room. He is easily adaptable and catches on to routine very well. He is excellent on a leash but can easily be distracted by other animals or neighbors walking by. He loves bath time but would rather air-dry as opposed to us using a cool blow dryer on him to dry his long sleek hair.

He is a sweet, affectionate little boy who just loves being the "center of attention."

The early bird gets the worm. If you see a puppy that would be a good fit for you home, be sure to get your application in asap, as they are on a first come first serve basis. Not ready to adopt? The Dachshund Rescue of Houston always needs fosters:)
