MINI Motoring Challenge May 29th-31st

The MINI Motoring Challenge is coming to Houston!

Ever wanted to play speed racer in a MINI?? Yeah, me too. The MINI motoring challenge will allow you to make that tire burning dream come true. To get more specific, it's a test drive event where MINI lets you drive their newest 2 and 4 door Hardtops on closed-course autocross tracks.  This "Ride & Drive" as they call it in the auto industry, is pretty common, but of course MINI takes it up a notch.

First of all, it takes place at night, with local food trucks, a silent disco, The famous Bumbys (just in case you need a fair and honest appraisal of your appearance), and live screen printing where you can make your own custom t-shirts....which could totally be trouble.

The driving (or motoring, as MINI calls it) is also quite kick ass. The three autocross tracks simulate a getaway drive, a pinball machine, and a famous British racetrack, respectively.  There are no speed limits on a closed course (even more trouble), or so I’m told, and as long as you can safely keep the car between the cones you are free to drive like Ricky Bobby (when he's not on fire). MINI has always been known for its legendary handling, but now the cars boast BMW Group turbo engines that make them faster and meaner than ever.

The MINI Motoring Challenge is visiting several cities this year, and in Houston it will be at NRG Park on May 29th – 31st.  Check out www.minimotoringchallenge.com to RSVP.  The event is free, but spots are super duper limited.

MINI is also one of the most customizable cars you can buy.  Their website has THE coolest configurator where you can build out your dream car (I'll take the Union Jack mirror caps please), so go make your own little dreamy vehicle.

This is a sponsored blog; while the views expressed here were 100% genuinely mine, consideration was paid to me by MINI Motoring Challenge to review this product
