I have a new bag crush, and her name is Jen Mascali.

Jen has this amazing line of deconstructed-yet-chic hand crafted bags, and the coolest back story ever to go with then. Jen was inspired at an early age by her great grandfather who, as a leather artisan, handcrafted shoes for actresses, princesses and prominent women of his time. He even created shoes for Grace Kelly’s wedding that can be seen in Philadelphia Museum of Art! How ridiculously awesome is that? Knowing she'd like to carry on her great grandfather's legacy, she moved to Florence after she graduated and began working as the assistant to handbag designer Pauric Sweeney. Jen soon developed the skills she needed to focus her attention to her very own innovative creations, and her line was born!

Simon Fashion Kick Off!

It's time to roll out the Simon Fashion Now runways once again! Spotlighting must-have trends for fall from fashionable Galleria retailers, Simon Fashion Now is bringing the drama and excitement of runways shows to stylish shoppers in Houston.
The best part? Simon Fashion Now makes the hottest men and women’s fashions of the season accessible; every look from the runway can be immediately found at retailers within The Galleria.

“We provide the NOW factor which allows shoppers to purchase everything they see on the runway that same day,” said Shari Simon, senior vice president of corporate marketing. “Since every price point is featured, no consumer group is excluded.”

Simon Fashion Now events begin at The Galleria Thursday, September 9 at 8 p.m. with an invitation-only runway fashion show at Polar Ice. Shoppers can expect to see an abundance of styles for men and women ranging from casual weekend wear and stylish outfits for the office, to show-stopping looks for a night on the town. Public viewing of the Thursday night runway show will be available from the common areas.

The show will introduce fall looks from Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Billy Reid, CH Carolina Herrera, Kate Spade, M Missoni, MaxMara and Salvatore Ferragamo. Grey Goose will provide trend inspired cocktails for the event. Immediately following the show, Gigi’s Asian Bistro & Dumpling Bar will host an exclusive post party.
